Our Values

  • Accountability: Ownership of our behaviors, decisions and results
  • Safety: Active prevention of injury and illness, on and off the job, to enable us and those around us to live life to the fullest
  • Service: Working from the outside in, delivering value to all we serve
  • Innovation: Transformative change that achieves positive results
  • Spirit: Exuding a positive attitude
  • Teamwork: Working together to achieve extraordinary results

In 2017, NSC employees posted zero recordable injuries and illnesses, for the first time since recordkeeping began. This represents nearly 500,000 hours worked without a recordable event.

Our Finances

As a mission-driven nonprofit organization, we direct revenue from our programs and services right back into our advocacy work so we can eliminate preventable deaths in our lifetime.  For a breakdown of our financials, please check out the NSC 2017 Statement of Financial Position and NSC Statement of Activities and Changes in Net Assets.

Driven by Data

NSC released the last print version of Injury Facts®; the definitive annual publication for preventable deaths and injuries in the United States for nearly 100 years will be available on the web starting in 2018.
