A 360 Degree View of Safety at Work, at Home
and on the Road

Taking stock of what we were able to accomplish this year, there are so many individual and program milestones that helped make this a banner year for the National Safety Council.

As an organization committed to keeping people safe, we are actively growing our impact and mission spend, and expanding our advocacy, business and philanthropic efforts to ensure that we have a firm foundation to take our work to the next level. We are grateful to all our partners and donors that have helped us raise $3 million this past year in support of our mission. We remain as committed as ever to making safety a top priority at work, at home and on the road.

With preventable deaths becoming the third leading cause of death for all Americans, we feel the urgency to lead, engage and do more to keep those around us safe. This commitment is supported by the amazing members, partners and volunteers that make our work possible and impactful.

The nation’s leading safety advocate for more than 100 years, the National Safety Council is a nonprofit organization with the mission of eliminating preventable deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the road through leadership, research, education and advocacy.

Safety at Work

At Work

We know that employers who show they care about the safety of their employees see improved morale, increased productivity, lower costs and, most importantly, fewer injuries.

Homes and Communities

In Homes & Communities

The National Safety Council wants to help you stay safe in all areas of your life. We have researchers and statisticians working to keep you up to date on the best ways to keep each other safe.

On the Roads

On the Road

Nobody knows driver safety training like the people who pioneered it over 50 years ago. Today, NSC champions Distracted Driving Awareness Month, leads the Road to Zero Coalition and created the first online consumer resource for advanced vehicle technology.
