Engaged with more than 8,500 people during public outreach events for the Check to Protect recall campaign by visiting military bases, NASCAR races, minor league baseball games and other community events\n

Hosted a roundtable discussion for Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-8th) on distracted driving at NSC headquarters\n

Improved the DriveitHOME online experience to better engage employers, employees and parents on teen safe driving practices\n

Adopted a new policy position regarding a safe systems approach to road safety in local, state, federal and private sectors\n

Participated in the AAA- and Governors Highway Safety Association-sponsored drug-impaired driving policy forum to explore solutions to prescription and over-the-counter drug impaired driving\n

Participated in a Cook County Sheriff’s Office press conference announcing Operation Deadly Distractions, a high-visibility distracted driving enforcement campaign\n

Developed and released in partnership with AAA, Consumer Reports and J.D. Power new nomenclature for advanced driver assistance technologies\n

Recognized Randall E. Beaty with the 2019 Robert F. Borkenstein Award for his significant contributions to the field of alcohol testing, resulting in safer roads and workplaces\n

Secured approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Bureau of Driver Licensing and New Mexico Department of Transportation that allows State Farm Insurance customers who take NSC Defensive Driving Courses to receive insurance discounts\n
