Developed NSC Psychological Health and Safety Employee Perception Survey to help organizations assess and take action to mitigate psychosocial risk in the workplace
Created the NSC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Safety Champion Recognition Program, which honors organizations striving to foster an environment where every employee feels secure, welcome and included
Launched the MSD Solutions Lab, which aims to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), through a first-of-its-kind partnership with Amazon
Awarded the 2021 Robert W. Campbell Award to Allegion for commendable leadership and excellence in integrating EHS management with business operations systems, with support from Exxon Mobil Corporation and Cummins
Hosted the inaugural, member-exclusive CEO roundtable on the topic, “Future World of Work: Staffing, Culture and Safety” and featured leaders from Campbell Institute member organizations, with sponsors Chemours and U. S. Steel Corporation
Presented the Campbell Institute Symposium and the second annual Work to Zero Summit for the first time virtually, engaging more than 200 EHS professionals, with support from Boeing, Benchmark ESG, Enablon and the McElhattan Foundation
Led 44 educational NSC member webinars and roundtables with more than 9,400 total attendees
Secured a $3 million grant from the McElhattan Foundation to continue building the Work to Zero initiative, aimed at eliminating workplace fatality risk through the promise of technology
Joined with Industrial Training International to bring hazard awareness virtual reality experience and certification to the construction industry
Hosted in-person and virtually the 22nd annual Green Cross Celebration, sponsored by U. S. Steel, and raised over $600,000 in support of NSC
Awarded the Green Cross for Safety Advocate Award, sponsored by First Group, to Nutrien Ag Solutions for their revamped training program that reduced incidents involving exposure to anhydrous ammonia
Awarded the Green Cross for Safety Excellence Award, sponsored by UPS, to Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) for developing a comprehensive vehicle safety program
Awarded the Green Cross for Safety Innovation Award to Amazon for reducing incidents by integrating collision avoidance technology into its forklifts
Hosted the first in-person NSC Safety Congress & Expo since 2019, with both virtual and live opportunities, and highlighted a variety of safety technology companies through the Safety Technology Pavilion, sponsored by Enablon and Amentum
SAFER initiative hosted bimonthly webinars and implemented monthly surveys to 300 organizations and 1,000 workers to gather data on vaccine requirements, COVID-19 mitigation strategies, employer EAP programs, worker mental health, MSDs after COVID-19 and more
Hosted the annual SAFER Summit in December, featuring panels on lessons learned from the pandemic, current topics and what the future holds
ORC HSE continued its integration efforts with NSC Consulting and Networks, and held 70 virtual meetings for Network members and completed five member surveys to assess company responses to the pandemic
NSC First Aid launched a blended learning option of its primary courses and began updating courses to include new guidelines, applying a strong diversity, equity and inclusion lens to the materials
Awarded the Lorraine Pack Memorial Scholarship, founded by Laura Fiffick and Brittany Westphal, to Helen Werner of Keene State College for addressing the underrepresentation of women in EHS

Recognized 38 safety leaders under 40 as part of the 12th class of Rising Stars of Safety
Provided more than 80 businesses with our NSC Safety Barometer survey offering, surveying over 60,000 workers to assess and improve their organizational safety culture
Connected with the National Waste & Recycling Association to assess safety via the NSC Safety Barometer and develop a safety resource for NWRA members
Celebrated the 25th anniversary of National Safety Month and raised more than $43,000 in philanthropic contributions with support from our National Safety Month sponsor, VelocityEHS
