  • Awarded the Green Cross for Safety Advocate Award, sponsored by First Student, to Schneider for being the first truckload carrier to conduct a pilot of the Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety technology
  • Awarded the Green Cross for Safety Excellence Award, sponsored by UPS, to Walgreens for successfully transforming more than 76% of its retail locations to ladder-less stockrooms, reducing workers’ compensation claims associated with slips, trips and falls in the stockroom by 66% over the last six years
  • Awarded the Green Cross for Safety Innovation Award, sponsored by Amazon, to APTIM for developing digital tools that address gaps in safety planning, processes, communication and documentation, and have resulted in decreased incident rates since program implementation
  • Recognized Jennifer Limoges with the Robert F. Borkenstein Award for her dedication, expertise and leadership in forensic toxicology and for her contributions to the advancement and improvement of DUI/DUID processes in New York and across the United States
  • Launched the NSC Advocacy in Safety Awards and recognized the following partners for their impact on safety in their communities: Sara Lavoie of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Registry of Motor Vehicles, Peter Pollard of the Massachusetts State Police, Senator Michael Moore of the Massachusetts Senate and Senator Seth Lewis of the Illinois Senate
